Qualifying Features
All ENERGY STAR® certified windows qualify and will typically feature:
- Multi-pane glass (double or triple pane)
- Low-emissivity (Low-E) coatings
- Insulated glass units with gas fills
- Frames designed to reduce air leakage and heat transfer
Regional Qualifications
To qualify for pilot incentives, windows must meet ENERGY STAR® certification requirements for the climate zone in which the customer’s home is located.
Illinois includes areas in both the Northern and North-Central climate zones.
We recommend familiarizing yourself with the ENERGY STAR certification requirements for your climate zone before purchasing replacement windows.
